Ground breaking epic Welsh language musical production…
A co-production between Franwen and the Wales Millenium Centre in 2023, this ground breaking epic Welsh language musical production was designed by Elin Steele and Directed by Gethin Evans; and was filmed during its run at the WMC and can be viewed via S4C. The show was production managed by Ed Wilson and Lewis Williams.
This production toured to Aberystwyth and Bangor and was sold out for every performance!
It received universally positive reviews and was heralded as a “landmark in Welsh theatre”,
It is interesting to also see some of the photos from workshop visits taken by a combination of Ed Wilson and Elin Steele.
Note the 3D carving and textural work and the faux rusting work, all of which had further works before being built on stage.
