Designed by long term friend of CTS, Leslie Travers, Bruno Ravella as Director and Ciaran Bagnall Lighting Designer and Gavin O’Sullivan as Production Manager. You can watch the entire performance here
The installation and fit up of the show was supported by Jon Hill (from CTS) who has provided some lovely behind the scenes photos and videos of the get in and fit-up process too.
It is interesting to see the production photos which give you the public view from the front, in contrast with the “back-stage” build and fit up process.
One of the key design concepts for the show is the central arched/curved concrete finished style which appears to be part of a permanent and oppressive standing set and then it dramatically flies out as a part of live scene change which becomes an amazing “coup de theatre,” and you can see the video here.
We were particularly proud of this production’s and are delighted by the feedback from Opera Ireland’s Production Manager and Technical Director.
