The Audience

This production took a Best Designer award for Bob Crowley.

The Audience is centred on the weekly audiences given by Queen Elizabeth II to prime ministers from her accession in 1952 to the present day.[2] Advice regarding the political and historical content of the weekly audiences was provided by Professor Vernon Bogdanor (Emeritus Professor of Government at Oxford University) and former Tutor of David Cameron, the current Prime Minister.

The CTS team were very happy to work with Bob Crowley again and to be given the opportunity to build and paint the Audience set. Recreating the interior of Buckingham Palace in sumptuous detail with marble pillars, gilded mouldings, and the tiny detailed throne room props, was a fantastic opportunity for the team to show what they were capable of.
